Default PO171 and PO174 code help please

i installed a blackwing air filter, a granatelli mafs, smooth bellows and a corsa touring exhaust with the x pipe three months ago. the car runs perfectly but two days ago the mentioned codes came up with the check engine light. the dealer says put the stock parts back on, granatelli says clean the mafs wires with non-chlorinated brake cleaner.
anyone had to fix this problem? any helpful input would be appreciated, thanks, rick

PO171 = Fuel trim System Lean Bank 1

PO174 = Fuel trim System Lean Bank 2

i.e. your car is running too lean

Time for a tune

Well... since it (apparently) ran fine for 3 months, I think Granatelli may be onto something there. However, I think a safer and easier cleaner would be to substitute contact cleaner (the kind in a spray can with an extension nozzle), available from Radio Shack or any electronics supply house. FWIW, here is the official t/s procedure for those codes on an '04.

GL!

P.S. also answered your post on CAC, but not sure which one you check more often.
