just got done cutting bushings off front lowering bolts put it all back togeter and upon measuring the passenger side is a 1/2'' higher then drivers side why and what can I do?
Dont go by the bolt measurements. Measure the frame rail height off the ground in two places. Measuer just behind the jacking puck holes on each side and pick a spot where the A-arm attaches to the frame.
The corvette frames are not perfect, so the number of threads on the bolts maybe different left to right.
Something else you may wish to consider is to put your wieght in the drivers seat, then adjust the ride height. I use old brake rotors, 11 rotors at 17 lbs each. This way when you are in the car it is level.
If you adjust the ride height with the drivers weight, then when the drivers seat is empty the left side of the car should be about 3/16s to 1/4" higher then the right side. But when you get in the car it is level, which is what you want.
Once you have the front height adjusted then do the rear. The rear should be a bit 3/16s to 1/4" ( 4-5mm) higher then the front. This gives your car the rake it needs for proper under body aerodynamics.
