Default First Problem --Water Leaks

Well first problem with my new to me '99 FRC. Car has 20k miles and has never been in Rain. That's the problem, I keep it outside and now the front floor area , particularly pass side is wet from the heavy rains we have had. The repair record shows no recall repair on this.
Is this a recall item? Is it covered under GMPP? Can I repair it myself?
I put a cover on it but they are only water resistant not water proof.
The trials of a Garage Queen! But I still love it.

does it look like it's from the window or the floor?? quite possibly it's a clogged drain tha's causing the problem. several computers in the passenger side floor, behind the kickpanel..make sure they are dry..

Computers are dry. It looks like water trails at the bottom front of door and trim just inside, and then onto mats-carpet.

Sounds like it might be coming from your A pillar. Pull off the A pillar trim and run some water down the roof of the car and down the corner of the windshield and have someone sit inside the car while doing this. there is a slot on the A pillar that can let water in if its not sealed properly. Seal the slot and also check to see if your side window rubber molding is seated properly in its channel.
Good luck!

Thanks for the great explanations. Bill your photos and help is perfect.
I'm going to try this today if the weather holds.
A couple of questions the other forum has copies of the service bulletins and mentions a wrong weatherstrip on the door, a nub that is incorrect. Can this be modified rather than replaced? I doubt that I could locate one today.
What kind of sealant is reccomended? I have a NAPA near me.

My thoughts exactly! Maybe we could get a "Bill Curlee tells all" forum!

Have a good one,

Well looks like the leaks are from the A piller.
Bill I checked all the sites you mentioned, all were good with the exception of the areas around the hinge, I will seal them.
I'm going to pull the A piller cover and verify that. It was coming in as I ran water on the front roof area, just pouring in.
I bought window Urethane sealant, seemed like the best choice.

Here is a link to a C5 TSB water leak guide, which includes pictures and symptoms you have described: http://corvetteactioncenter.com/kb/q....php?qstId=208

Good luck.
