battery and passengerdoor problems

" Well let me tell ya! I was in the same position as you! The reality is, the reserve capacity in your present battery is severly compromised! When you start your car the starter pulls lots of current from the battery and Sometimes when the battery starts to fail like this, you will see DTC codes that start to leave little hints. If you check the codes you will most likely see a bunch of "U" series codes (i.e. U 1000 H, U 1153 H ect...As the weather gets colder ther will be more strain on the battery and you will likely staart to feel the starter motor drag or strain to turn the engine over.
If your battery gets much worse, you will start to see things like the FOB will loose Sync a lot, the memory functions may change, your radio may loose their presets, the page in your HUD will reset to the defaly page, ect....
If you have the orginal OEM Delco, you risk serious damage to your PCM and wiring due to the potential of the battery leaking acid.
I replaced the old delco in my Z06 with a Optima Red top. There are numerous batteries out therethat will do the trick. Hell,, the ones from Walmary work excellent!
As for the door, you most likely need a new door control module. The relays inside the nodule are weak and known to fail. There are a few guys that have replaced the relays and had success. There is a link somewhere that discusses this problem.
Here is a THREAD all about the module:
