Ordered an SW Race Cars 10 pt. cage today. Should be interesting to install. Through the dash model. Wife says she will feel a lot safer with it. Anyone done this?

Not thiers, but I've seen custom 10 point rollcages that go through the dash. Doesn't belong in a C5 IMO, a 6 point should be sufficient, unless you need the extra bars for running 9's.

Depending on the tune we are looking at 7-8-9 hundred HP. Dont plan on crashing and I am rather conservative but **** happens.

Screw the roll cage, I want to see what rear diff. will live behind 900 HP.

Like I said........ "rather conservative" (ie. light foot). 4.10 rear w/335/30/20's. Everyone ask's if it will get traction. I say " Man.... I hope not.. that will just break parts.." Plan on street tune in the 750's. It will do more but the block is still aluminum. In my opinion anything over 500 is asking for trouble. Plan on a trailer when we go to the drag strip so when I squeeze out that 8-900 I have a way to get the car home!!!

Hope you're handy with a welder and cage fabrication. We've custom built a number of these (with the swing out side bars) and they look great and will pass NHRA certification, but installation is no walk in the park.
Good Luck.

Pretty good with my Tig. Didnt think it would be easy. They say the kit is fully notched but I expect some tweaking. Got any pics of a cage in a C5?
