Has anyone ever had there horn beep and unlock after arming the alarm and walking away? The door unlocks whether armed with key or fob. Any insight?

Thanks & happy holidays!

sounds like you have a BCM issue. Check for any codes. If you have any, clear them and see if that helps. if it doesnt, disconnect the battery and let everything reset. If that doesnt do it, my next recommendation would be to chech the BCM for corrosion on the board inside the box in the passengers foootwell. Thats what happened to mine.

Bill,

Do I just disconnect the positive? 10 minutes good enough for a reset? I just put a new battery in the FOB and thats when the issue started so I pulled the battery from FOB and reprogrammed FOB again, so will see when I go out in a lil bit how it is.

Thanks

If you installed a new battery in the FOB,, you MUST do a FOB relearn procedure. It should be in the owners manusl.

Re-syncing just wont work. You must re-learn all of your FOBs at the same time. Once you do the re-learn procedure, if the fob quits, a simple re-sysn will get it back on line. press LOCK & UNLOCK at the same time and hold it until the horn beeps.

Yes disconnecting the battery for 5-10 min is more than enough time to reset all the electronics.

Ok guys, apparently the passive on/off feature went haywire on my FOB. I would have the passive feature off and would walk away from car after arming and it would beep (as if car alarm was arming) but unlock. I found this out by numerous tests. So I had the other FOB never used stored and just use that now and took the battery out of the other.

Weird, but solved!
