Re: wheel size effects traction control switch!? (jpvette1)
I just put on GS rims 17 x 11 and BFG 315/35/17s and have the exact same problem and now don't feel as bad. Really no big deal as I don't drive the car in the rain anyways but when it first happened on the highway sunday I thought I blew my tranny b/c I wasan't going anywhere when giving major gas (no realizing yet what was happening). I tested a little bit in competive mode and so far so good but the verdict is still out. I have no clue how to fix this problem but I can think of worse problems :D>
Re: wheel size effects traction control switch!? (jpvette1)
As long as your rear tires have a larger diameter than the fronts the TC will not activate. I run the GS rims when I am on the track and have often driven on the street with them. With 275/40s in the front and 315/35s in the rear I have never had the TC activate unless I was spinning the tires. One time as an experiment I put the stock 18 inch wheels in the front with the 17 x 11s in the rear and the TC came on right away. In fact it applied the rear brakes while the car was coasting down hill in nuetral.

Re: wheel size effects traction control switch!? (jpvette1)
I have 275/40 Nitto DR's on 17x8.5 on the back for racing. I have been leaving them on and I have never seen this message. Also I have no sensors in the rears and, not only am I not getting a tire pressure message on the DIC but I also have pressure readings on the DIC for the rear. I even disconnected the battery for 2 days and still getting DIC rear tire pressure, but I have no sensors.
