Default Cluster gauge goes dim

Every once in a while my cluster gauge will go dim for a split second. Barely long enough to notice. Then very quickly goes back to regular brightness. Anyone know what is goin on here. Dirty connection somewhere. and if so, where do I check?

My 05 CTS-V does the same thing... dealer is trying to locate the problem but isn't having any luck. This is also the case of 2 other CTS-V's that I know of. Please let me know if you find your problem.

just happened to me again last night. Seems that its starting to happen more offen. I'm tryin other places to find a cause and solution to this. If your dealer finds something please let me know. Before it happened so rarely that I didnt mind. But now its starting to happen a little more offen. Sometimes i wish it would fail whatever is going to fail so that its there for the dealer to see exactly what is goin on. Just frustrating thats all

Mine did that when I first got it. Car was 5 years old. Changed Delco battery out with Optima Red Top. Problem gone. Could be your battery. My headlights would also dim for a split second before I switched out the battery. Hope this helps.

This same thing happens to my car.

Maybe it was battery related becuase my battery just started leaking a few weeks ago and the car was hard to start.

Dont know if it went away though. Car is in the garage without insurance for the winter months.

We must have been typing at the same time. Just replaced mine with a red top also...hopefully mine is fixed too!
