check the harnesses for spread pins, broken wires[doubt the wires, that would set the light immediately, instead of over time],look at the connections first.to replace the sensor you need the hub assembly

You should maybe consider buying Auto Tap, and either buy a lap top or borrow one, and clear the DTC. It might go away for good. These computers are like are grandmothers they never forget anything, if you know what I mean. Is the car in any kind of a limp mode?

I got this code on my 1997 after I hit a HUGE pothole that I couldn't avoid on the highway. I went in and cleared the code and it hasn't come back. Try clearing it before you assume that its a permanent problem.

Im so deep into this subject that I cant see day light! You most likely have a bad female connector on one of your front harnesses. There have been a number of us who have had to replace connectors. If you know what to look for, its a SNAP! I am at work right now and dont have access to my pictures. When I get home i will send you all that you need to trouble shoot and repair this issue!

Since I have replaced my bad connector, my Z06 has beem error free!

Here are the pictures that I promised you:

This is the female plug that attaches to the frame on the front suspension area. The plug on the left is NEW and the one on the right is BAD!!!!!!

This is what the bad pin looks like once it is removed from the connector.

If you disconnect each plug and inspect all of the female pins, you may be able to spot a suspect bad pin. The only true way to find the bad connection is to do a PIN PULL TEST on all of the female pins. Go to the dealer and get a male pin for that connector. Insert the male pin into the female pin. If there is good mechaincal grip, the female pin is good! If you have poor grip, get a new female ! (PIN! )
