OK, I've been collecting parts for a while and finally had some time to install. I put on B&B stainless steel headers, corsa X-pipe, a BBK 80 mm TB and a carbon fiber air bridge. Everything should have been straight forward. I let it warm up to let the computer learn the new TB like the instructions said (yes I read them). Here's the problem, it idles fine, but when I try to drive it dies within 5 feet, like it's been turned off. It's a 6 speed, I can rev it to 6 grand, let it come back to idle no problem. I just can't drive it. Any ideas what I did wrong? No codes either.
I don't know how it be related to your mods, but is sounds like PCM thinks the steering column is locked and shuts the fuel off at 2mph Can't explain no codes
I'm sure if you pull the codes from the DIC that will give you a clue.
The only component you touched (that we know of) that would remotely cause an issue like this is the new Throttle Body. Swap that back to stock and re-check if all else fails. Could be poor connections / maybe you bumped a connector in another part of the wiring harness.
