Default Panel gaps/alignment

I've just spent the last two days re-aligning all my panels (fenders, hood, front/rear fascias, trunk lid and rear quarters. PITA, PITA, PITA...My crap box '92 Cavalier was put together with more care than this vette! My question relates to the join line between the front fascia and the fender and the corresponding line between the rear fascia and the quarter panels...how do these areas look on your cars? It doesn't matter what I do, I can't get these to line up evenly. It looks like TOTAL crap. Are they supposed to fit tightly together or what?? Check it out...

Looks like my 04CE . Also the carpet is terrible,(better in my Dakota) the seat leather is thin, and the fitment of some interior molded plastic pieces is bad(wife has better fit in her SUV). I think GM put the bulk of R&D into the sport part of the car and not the carriage works. Thats why mine cost 49k new and not 79. I just love the feel and sound of crusing with the top off, huggin those curves, and go for it all (in a control environment= track) I choose to overlook the minor stuff, and no matter what... ALL vettes are still head turners

Yeah, looks familiar. Chalk it up to GM quality...

I've haven't messed with mine because I'm afraid it will end up worse.

But what the heck is the big deal here? Japan can do it, Germany can do it...hell even Korea can do it. America can land remote control cars on Mars, bomb the crap outa any country they like, and spend billions and billions on foreign aid to fix other people's problems. All in the same day. Its without a doubt the most powerful, most developed nation in the world. I honestly believe it could do anything it put its mind to. But seemingly it couldn't put a car together straight if it's life depended on it. I've always bought American because I like what this country's all about. It just pisses me off when ****heads in their Hondas and BMWs take time out of their busy little lives to point out all the quality issues with my cars. Forgive the rant, but realigning this car was such a pain in the a$$. I spent too much money on it for this $hit.
