Three angle valve cut - Where does seal actually occur
Where does the seal actually occur on the three angle cut? The inner cut is very steep so it appears that the middle cut is the actual seal and the others are there to obtain desired flow characteristics.

With valve grinding compound it will look like the entire middle angle cut is the seal. To really see the seal, take a magic maker and "paint" the seat and the valve angle and then "dry" lap them. You should see a thin line on the valve and the intersection of the angles on the valve seat. PM me for my phone number if you want.
