Default Wheel Weight :CCW

I know lots of others are interested or concerned with wheel weight.

I just had my new wheels weighed at CCW before tire mounting and shipping to me.

They are CCW SP500

Front: 21.1 Lbs (18x10)
Rear: 22.1 Lbs (18x11.5)

The fronts are heavier than stock but they are LARGER

The rears seem to be stock Z06 weight within 1 Lb. from everything I could find here on the Forum AND they are 1 inch wider

Sorry to hear your new track rims are so heavy. My Z06 Speedline rims only weigh about 18 Lbs each. So to make it fair I will put my heavy tires on for Willow Springs so you can keep up.

I thought 18lbs sounded light The forged 18x10 ccw weighs almost exactly the same as the rear cast/spun zo6 wheel

That's good news! Let’s see some pics!

And here's the best part (if you are running Kumho MX's anyway)

A 265/35/18 weighs 2 pounds LESS than a 265~275/40/17, so you stand to actually end up in the green on the fronts.

OK Howie I borrowed my neighbors fish scale this time and he swears it's accurate and we came up with 18.9 front and 19.9 rear. Seems like the rear Z06 rim should have been heavier.

WAS ....... running Khumo 265 and 295

NOW ........ Nitto 555 R2 285 and 305

Any idea what the Nitto's weigh?? Their website has all the tire specs except the weight. But I will know as I will weigh the packaged tire/wheel combo before I mount them!!

Well, the racing Classic in 17x11 weighs 18.25lbs. It is drilled more and does not have center cap.

No doubt the 17x11 is lighter. But my wheels have to be all purpose......DD and Track and Canyon Runs.....plus be visually pleasing
to me

I thought these were the best of all worlds......

Must be the fish purchaser's scale.
