Default draining radiator

Do you need a special tool to drain I found the plastic drain but it does not look like any petcock I have ever seen.

Thanks Larry

No special tool, but be careful, it onlys turns 90 or 180 degrees then can pull out. If you turn it to much it will break ($5 replacement at NAPA, don't ask).

Yup, 1/4 turn on mine and then it pops out slightly but the valve doesn't come completely out. It drains through the small hole under the support so make sure your bucket is in the right place

Use a 1/4" ratchet with an extension on it. Works perfect. I thought the previous owner had broken the plug until I discovered the 1/4" opening in the center of it. Good luck!
