After the dreaded Vararam install I am cruising, have just enough throttle to keep a steady speed in 5th and it starts to lightly buck its in any gear i noticed but the higher gears its easier to tell it bucks just enough to catch the slack in the drive train, feels like i am riding a bull! I am assuming it has to be something with the vararam or something got unplugged in the install? I know i didn't unplug the battery when i did the install is that maybe the problem?
First and easiest to try is to disconnect the battery for 1 1/2 hours to allow the computer to reset and relearn the new air flow. Drive it gently for the first 40- 50 miles and then let it rip and let me know if it is better.
Has anyone tried relocateing the MAF behind the air bridge, like the C6 has it, instead of the normal location? It would probably take care of any " Turbulant " air issues caused by aftermarket cold air kits
I installed the VARARAM and have not had any issues like that. I bet you have an air leak. Recheck the connections and fittings. Something that I have seen on two C5 reciently is the air bridge collapses where the Gates type screw clamp secures the accordian tube or smooth coupler to it. Check that out and see if it is crimped or collapsed.

I will re-check the connections when the hood is closed, the only one that seemed a little loose was the clamped band , the one you cant really tighten. I need to get a actual adj. hose clamp...
thanks for the input..
ps. does anyone know what that sensor hanging under the front of the car is? one one that mounts to the plastic on the center passenger side nose of the car? looks like a big christmas light?
