I am interested in fitment too. Did they make any changes to the housing to accomdate the new filter? Wondering if it will backfit as the Green actually filters better than the K&N I am using.
Are these supposed to outflow the foam filter that normally comes w/ the Vararam?
Outflow, I doubt it. Outfilter, definitely. The green filters were developed in Europe and are superior to the K&N filter in my opinion for two reasons, one the rubber seal doesn't intrude into the filter area thereby reducing the effective area and second they are a woven cotton base rather than gauze so the thickness is more consistant than the K&N.
Took three hours for us to install on my 03 coupe. Took less than two hours on my friends '02 vert.
The fit on the on '02 vette was excellent with the VB1 and the foam filter seamed to seal fine. We must be experienced, Ha!
I have pictures to post of the green filter fit on the 03' later tonight. We must have installled the scoops wrong because the top of the scoops are hitting the frame and are hard to bend upward to mate with the filter. I am also using the Halltech bridge from the stinger and not factory bridge.
I can't answer your question fully until I re-adjust the '03 system. I can tell that the thicker filter does seal, since the there is a foam on both surfaces between the filter. I assumed the '03 fit was due to the poor reviews some installers, but in our hast I think we may have not aligned the system properly. Will investigate.............
I also find the vararam much better quality than anticipated.
You can adjust the angle of the rams from the bumper to the ari bridge by adding or removing either the top or bottom screws on the front duct where it bolts into the bumper openings.

That should solve your fitment issues.
HTH,

I did screw the rams to the bumper tightly! Also, I noticed some rubber spacers and longer screws are included with the kit. It appears on the "poor instructions" that these spacers can be use to acheive the same results?
