Cleaning MAF

Cleaning MAF
What is the best way to clean the MAF? Should I use isopropyl alcohol and some Q-Tips and carefully clean? Remove and use some sort or cleaner spray on it? I dont have any issues with it just thought the next time i clean the K&N I would clean the MAF just so I know its clean and no oil or dirt on it.

For my own curiousity I once called Granatelli on this, and as scary as it sounds they said to use brake clean. I also contacted Best products way back when and they said to use electric parts cleaner. Needless to say I have not tried either one, but I am kinda scared to spray brake clean on anything other than new brake rotors and new flywheels. Any one else?

Isopropyl alcohol or an electronic cleaner (that will not leave residue) will work fine. I would spray a liberal amount of one of the above cleaners on the MAF wires and resistors and let dry. If you use Q-Tips the cotton fibers will stick to the areas you are intending to clean.
