Default Service ABS

Whenever I hit a bump in the road, service ABS and service trac system lights come on. Might be some sort of computer glitch. Any thoughts?

Check and clean all the rear connections to the wheel sensors. Sounds like a poor connection there. Just fixed the same problem today.

Your in for a reaL treat!!! You need to check EACH female pin in the harness. The female pins in that type of connector are a KNOWN issue!

The best way to resolve the issue is to go to your local Chevy parts counter and order a couple of MALE pins that are the exact same size as the one that plug into the female pins in the EBTCM wiring harness. I and several other forum members have all had wiring harness female pin issues. Your bump and failure is a CLASSIC sympyom of a bad connection!!

Here is an example of a BAD connector female pin:

If you insert a male pin into the connector and there is little or NO grip on to the pin, the female pin is BAD!

Please let me know if you need any more info.

Follow the wire that is attached to the back side of your HUB. It goes to a plug on the main wiring harness:

Here is the sensor removed from the Hub. (dont try this at home! )
