Default Dual Heater

If the Drivers Heater is set at 70 degrees, how warm can the passengers side be on a 2004? I have to control the warmth on the passengers side with the drivers heater. Kinda defeats the purpose of the Dual Heaters.
Thank you

Gene, the driver's side control sets the temperature, the passenger control is just a plus or minus option - either hotter or cooler than the set temp. Is that your question?

It's kinda the question. When I have the drivers side set where I like it,(say 70) the drivers side won't get any warmer. I have to keep turning up my temp so the passenger side will get warmer

Well I don't think that's right. Although the temp display will only display the drivers side set temp, the passenger side control should allow a warmer output for the passenger side. If it's still under warranty I'd get it looked at.

I did take it to a Dealer here in Spokane and I was told that the Heater for the passenger was controlled on the drivers side. I thought this was kinda strange. Why would they put in Dual Controls if the driver was going to control the heater. I wanted to find out what was wrong and then I could tell the Service Manager at the Dealer.Thank you for all your help

This is from the manual if it helps. i think you only have a couple of degrees each way.

The PASSENGER **** changes the temperature on the
passenger’s side of the vehicle. When the **** is in the
12 o’clock position, the passenger’s temperature is the
same as the driver’s. Turn the **** clockwise for warmer
air on the passenger’s side, counterclockwise for cooler
air. If the driver-set temperature is set at 60F (16C) or
90F (32C), turning the passenger **** has no effect

Thank you...I read the Manual also, but the passenger side doesn't change much. Maybe your right about the couple of degrees either way.Gene

I thought it was +/- 4 degrees from what was set on the drivers temp gauge.
