I have one and seems to improve throttle response. It takes the place of polishing the TB. As for any gains in hp, who knows? Lets say it gives you 5hp; there is no way to really measure it, even with a dyno. You can get 5hp differences with back-to-back dyno pulls with no changes at all. If I didn’t already have it, I would not buy one. But then again, I don’t think you get anything from polishing a TB on a relatively stock motor.
more like - .6hp. i think it chokes my car in the upper rpms. i took that thing out, it's sitting in my trunk right now where its supposed to be b/c it has no place under the hood.
I have one, but I removed it and ported and polished the throttle body myself. I believe that to be a better way to improve the airflow through the throttle body. The velocity stack actually has a smaller opening and the one end then the TB itself. I just couldn't bring myself to use such a cheap piece of junk in the car.
If you cant port & polish your own TB, the stack might be something to consider. It smooths out the air flow. I had both options to consider. Port my own or install the stack. I ported mine!!
