No more Sunoco Ultra 94 ????
I filled up my car yesterday at Sunoco and found that Ultra 94 is now Ultra 93.
Not only that, but they now have 2 mid grades, 89 and 91.
Is this happening just in Pa?

Been seeing that at most Sunoco's - there is still one just across the border from me in PA that still has 94.

I hope not. I normally run Sunoco 94 exclusively.

Ditto for Colorado:
85 = Regular
87 = Mid-grade
91 = Premium

In CO. higher octanes aren't required due to the elevation. As for CA, someone needs to take out C.A.R.B.!
94 hasn't been available in NY for at least a year or two now.

From what I've heard, 94 is useless unless you're running higher-than-stock compression. Or FI.

We still have Sunoco 94 up here, but last year they changed the rest of their octane lineup. They used to sell 87, 89.5, 92 and 94, but now they sell 87, 89, 91 and 94. I suspect they'll drop our 94 down a point or two pretty soon.
I don't use Sunoco very often anyhow, and I had my car dyno tuned while running Esso 91, and get zero knock retard with that, at least in cooler temps. So the only time I run Sunoco 94 is when I go to the dragstrip in warmer weather.

Sunoco is in selected areas of VA, but dont expect to find the cheap stuff. Lowest I have seen is 93 octane, then 100, 110 unleaded, 112 and 115 leaded.
Where?? Martinville, VIR, South Boston and Richmond race tracks.

93 is available everywhere here in the Dallas area. Some places like Race Track carry multaple mid grades. But Chevron only carries 87, 89, and 93. So Chevron 93 is what I use.

Wow, never even seen 85!
93 is the best I can get here in the south, but it's everywhere.

Chevron 93 with Techron. It soon won't matter 'cause we'll be using E85.
