what's up with this? mine's a 99 coupe auto and everytime i start up the car, the air conditioning is on .so i turn the a/c off, drive it and park it still with the a/c off. but when i start up the car again, the a/c is back on!
is that just the way it is? is that the default setting for the car? or can something be done so when you start the car, the a/c would be off (which is the way it is on all GM cars i've ever had).
With the A/C off and the car running, try pushing the MEMORY button. That's where it should be next time you open the car with the FOB and start up.
RonJ ...
Good catch... If you have the optional memory package the system is doing exactly what you or somebody else programed it to do.
When you use the memory feature, the seat, A/C, outside rearview mirrors, and the radio stations are memorized in the settings they were in when the memory set. If you are the only person who drives the vehicle, you can set up two other "drivers" settings and then have settings for nice days, hot days, and cold days. It's all in the owners manual.
