99C5 RFA NOCOMM error code
I haven't been here in a while because both my car and myself are living in Germany now.
One week ago, my '99 C5 did throw a message "Service vehicle soon" and "check tire pressures" for all 4 tires. The problem is permanently visible and comes immediately back after a reset.
I read out the DIC error codes and found only 1 error code B0-RFA NO COMM . All other modules had not a single code.
Resetting this does not help i.e. it reappears after a couple of seconds.
What I don't understand now is that the keyfobs still work fine. I'd thought that the tire pressure sensors and the remote fobs use the same receiver and same communication channel.
Any thoughts?
Where is the RFA module located?
Thanks
Roger

many people with 99 and 00 C5's are seeing failure. Of course so are 98 and 97's.
You can try a relearn, but the fact that they all crapped out means even if you can wake them up, they are on their way out, One cold night while they are asleep , and when you try to wake them up there isnt enough voltage left in them to activate them thus a com code fault.
Good Luck

Thanks for the advice. I tried a reprogramming but the DIC doesn't show the tire training options i.e left front etc.... any longer.
I can only get to the menu "Tire training" but there are no other options available.
Same with keyfob programming. I can get only to "FOB training" but no other options are available.
Am I overlooking something or is my procedure incorrect???
Thanks
Roger
