I tried the feel of a Hurst Shifter on my friend's 01 Z06. I really liked it. It's soo accurate, feels notchy, and crisp. I've had similar set-up on mt Z28 and I loved it.
It you like your shifter stock-like, then choose the C6 Z06 shifter people are talking about, but if you like to add to the racing character of your Vette, then get a Hurst.

i read something about this mod messing up cags, have you had this problem too? should i just go ahead and install the cags bypass while i'm at it?

thanks
As far as I know this mod does nothing to the cags. I had my cags edited out a long time ago when I got my first tune for the bolt-ons I did.

I change the tranny fluid to Royal Purple and did the antivenom mod with the oil plug washer and the Hurst shift like butter, the antivenom mod took all of the notchy shifting out of it, now I can really bang gears and the Hurst just seems to find it's own way into the next gear as long as you use the palm of you hand to shift with, don't grab it with a death grip, when shifting to second or fourth pull it back with the palm of your hand and when your shifting into third just push it forward with the palm of your hand and you will be amazed on how smooth the shifts will be and like I said the Hurst just seems to find the next gear on its own.
I think was was one of Ranger's posts on drag racing a year or two back and it works

Default B&M revised ripper shifter Vs HURST

Well ive used both shifters and in my opinion they are both great when used under certain conditions. For drag/aggressive driving the hurst would be the better choice since it leaves little room for error when shifting aggressivly. This shifter is really at home on the drag strip focusing on gears 1,2,3,4 shifting to five, six, as well as reverse require much more body input than desired(weight shifting and such). For the street tuner the B&M ripper shifter is right at home but not confined. It is much easier to move id say 35% less of the lowest hurst setting. The two piece shifter design gives a softer feel and eliminates the chatter if you have a delrin shifter/ this also in turn dampens the positive feel expressed by the hurst.

new version of B&M
