One of the greatest benefits of the TI system, besides its light weight, is that it is in most cases a complete bolt on. Talk to the folks that have installed Corsa's or Borla's. They frequently have to spend a good deal of time adjusting the pipes to get them to fit and look good before tightening them the last time. (These systems have multiple adjustability points built in and are great systems regardless.)
Along with the problem of finding someone that can weld the TI pipes back together, you have to ensure they are aligned correctly before you weld them as well. Have them welded a bit out of alignment and you're gonna have a job on you hands getting them installed/aligned to look good.
As someone mentioned, unless they're giving them away, good uncut TI systems are just too plentiful right not to make a cut set worth the hassle.
