On The Road Again!
My assessment of this project. The removel of the drive trane, not difficult at all if you have a good transmission jack. Total time involved from start to finish 9 hours. This included pressure washing the trans-assebly, and the drill mod to the new stock slave cylinder, Lunch and a few beers.
Took the car for drive this afternoon. I have to say I was concerned when I first released the clutch at start up to back out of the garage. It engages about two inches off the floor, and is just a fraction softer that the old clutch. (Which by the way was toast.) BUT SON OF A BE-ATCH DOES THIS CLUTCH GRAB!!!!
After about ten miles I was fealing better about the engagement more and more. along with the abs of steel the whole car felt different, solid. I can't even wait to break the clutch in.
Time will tell but Ithink this is going to be a great replacement for the stock clutch at a reasonable price. Although I am curious as to how it would work with an aluminum fly wheel.
Time is ticking, don't waste it sitting! Unless its behind the wheel of a vette!
