Default light question

I was driving to work this morning and I noticed that my flasher was blinking really fast. Well come to show that my front left turn signal isn't lighting. The other side is just fine.

So I stop the car this afternoon to check it out real quick. When I have my parking lights on it lights but when I hit the turn signal I get nothing it goes out. Also when the normal driving lights are on it isn't lit either on parking brake (maybe headlights but I am not sure I didn't have that much time.) The rear turn signal on the left side is working just fine but going really fast. I am gonna check more tomorrow when I have some day light and I won't mind so much tearing my arm up trying to get down there.

Whenever a signal blinks that fast it indicates an open in the bulb. Since the bulb has 2 elements in it (one for parking light, and the other for turn indicator) its probably the bulb

Its a double filament bulb for DRLs and T/S. Its a 4157NA

Swap it out and you should be good to go.

That bulb is a PITA to change.

The harness is too short to pull from the rear, and there's not enough space to get both arms in there to change the bulb.

Easiest way I've found is, from the bottom, remove the access panel between the bumper cover and wheel well - you may have to turn the wheels to get to the back screws easily, then - reach in from the bottom to disconnect the harness from the socket (it's a sqeeze & twist mount.)
Then disconnect the the brake hose duct from the front bumper and pull the harness out through that hole. Don't pull too hard, the end of the harness will barely reach the edge of the bumper cover - but it's just enough to be able to replace the bulb.

If you've got skinny arms and hands - I do - you can go through the brake vent. Push the tube aside and reach in. It's still a PITA.
