Vette Doctor headers are the easiest to install.
You have a tuner on this thread that has installed all of them saying that.

I am running the TPIS setup but when I upgrade with a new motor I want to say BOOOM THERE IN!!

I guess I don't understand this thread and the exact definition of "boom". I read the other thread referenced here that was posted by Vette Doctors and I still have the same question - how can these be easier to install than the LG Pros since I didn't have to touch my starter with them but that is required for the Vette Doctors?

You have to watch the vid. They already did all the hard work and are sliding them into place. My headders (lg) slid in just as easy so I don't really see what the big deal is though. The hard part is getting the rear bolts in and out on the flange that meets the head. Their isn't alout of room back their.

except I hope you didn't have to touch your starter because I didn't.

As I remember, the instructions said to remove the valve cover on the passenger side but that wasn't necessary either (and I've done that side twice).

I'm not trying to advertise for LG by comparing one header against the other and I'm totally happy with what I have. Even if one was easier to install than the other, that would be low on my list of importance (especially if the header was optimized for installation ease and that was to the detriment of performance). I just still have the question as to why people are saying that those Vette Doctors are easier (since removing the starter is involved).

I'm leaning towards the BOOM if all I have to do is take out the spark plugs. Can anyone one clarify that this is all I have to do?

How long is a boom? How many hours of labor should it actually take to install? (qualified and experienced with installing headers on a corvette?)

TIA

The point you guys are missing here is, the headers used in the vid are 1-7/8 not 1- 3/4 LGs The point is that if any of you ever installed some of the other 1- 7/8 headers they are a real bit-h to install.
That's what the vid is about. Hope this clears the air. Boom i'm done

I'm not sure if I missed the point - what was the point? The post was about "easiest headers for the 2000 C5 Vette"? I'm pretty sure the guy isn't thinking about 1 7/8. The boom comment came in at post 10. All I was asking is if you have to do anything to the starter to install the 1 3/4's from the Vette Doctors which a lot of people here are saying are the easiest (when I know you don't have to touch it for the LG's)?

See, this is a pretty good thread because I like the LG streets over the VD headers but i really want TSP to make a set with that air tube because i want the ceramic coating, the ceramic coating will give the best results for under hood temps.

Second choice is the LG because they are good quality finish, I don't care for ugly headers at the asking price.
Actually if i have to wait a few months for TSP to finished the headers with the air tube then i'm not too likely to be waiting, I'll just get the LG's and who cares about how much more work it is anyway, the job will be done at days end anyway.

What is the average time differential on the installation of American Brand Headers vs ? the other guys...

Just an educated guess would be appreciated.

I had the same setup and lost torque when I went to Kooks.

I am wondering what needs to be removed for instalation and if the american racing system will connect directly to my air tubes?
