I am not sure if you are asking about the safest temp to start "throttling" the motor or operating temp, so I added my 2 cents worth on both.
Safe temp to start hammering the motor is 150 F
Safe temp to operate - normal driving - 220 - 250
Safe temp to operate - hard driving - 220 - 290
Best temp would be to maintain 225 - 240 - but you may need an oil cooler to do this.
Hope that helps and these are my guidelines based on good synthetics.

Sorry what i meant is: Start the car in the morning, as the oil wams, what is the minimum temp when you can hammer the car...170/180 ??
And, any facts on this?

You can monitor either one of the temperatures by pressing the gauges botton for your DIC Monitor your oil temp, when it gets to 150 degrees switch over to your radiator fluid temp and see what it says. This will answer your question.

I am aware of the DIC and all functions...What TEMP is safe to beat on the car????
I don't run it over 2,000 RPM until the oil is at 180 minimum. With the aftermarket springs, I would prefer to get them warmed up before cycling them too hard. I don't have any hard data on this, but it is just a rule of thumb I use with my car.
