Default Question about CCW wheels

I plan on getting CCW classic's. I want the 18x11.5 on the rear with 18x10 on the front. I will be running 335/30 on the back. How much do the rear stick out from the fender?? pics would be great tks

they will stick out about 3/4 " but you most likely will need 12" rims, not 11 1/2".

What tires are you looking at?? Not all 335s are the same width and can very by 1/2 in or so.

With that backspacing, you'll probably recieve a spacer for each rear wheel. I run 18 by 12's with a different offset and am tucked in. You'll stick out maybe 1/2" if that.

I believe the CCW 11.5 stick out the same as the 11", the extra .5 is on the inside. My 11" stick out just a small amount. Not all 335s will fit these rims, check with the tire maker and give CCW a call. They are great to work with. They will even sell you the tire wheel combo.

Fyi - I have the same set-up as above but lowered a little more (aprox 1-1 1/4in.), the tire looks like it sticks out less with the fender down closer to the tire.... at least IMHO. Sorry........ I don`t have any pics!

Rick

P.S. No, no rub!

To run a 335 on these wheels, does the car need to be tubbed?

nope... Not with the CCW 11.5' rims. They have a special off set and fit the car fine.

Not sure if this helps or is relevant but I have CCW 11.5 x 18 rears with 305 R2's. Car is lowered......long bolts in the back cut front bushings.

I am getting rubbing (slight) on the inner fender well against the inside tire side wall. But I do track the car also.

Rubbing on the inside at the top is ok... there is a plastic liner in there and a little rubbing doesnt hurt anything. Its not like you are coming into contact with metal or anything.

$50K+ cars with the tires sticking out, very cool! I read the sixties were over.
When you hit a pothole, or curb, and the tire hits, and fractures your wheel lip you'll be re-thinking your choice.
345/25/20/13 INSIDE the well, and slammed!

Or you just get wider fenders. These rear fenders are 3/4" wider then stock.

I dont think tubbing a car is a good idea at all. Tubing makes the car have a narrower track width. Wider is better.

I use longer ARP studes and a 3/8" spacer

Rear wheels are 18x13" rim with 18x335/30 Hoosier. a 335 Hoosier is about a 340-342 on most other tires.

Tom: I think your set up is ideal both cosmetically for performance. I have the CCW 11.5 and you have to look close to see they stick out slightly more than stock. But if I ever go to a wider wheel I would do what you did. What was the cost ???
