98 Coupe, Auto, Stock.

looking for the car's plug in adapter that is for a code reader. Most cars are located on the drivers side and is visible by just looking under dash. I have looked on the driver's and see no adapter to plug into.

Thanks for the Help.

Keep looking. It's under the steering column just behind the back of the facia.

Its called the ALDL PORT (Assembly Line Diagnostic Link Port) and it is located in the close out panel under the steering column. Look straight up!

Do you know that you have a built in code reader??

Thanks for information
On Board system.... trouble clearing H codes. The separate code reader does not pick up history codes so it will not also clear History codes.
I will keep trying.....

Do you have the procedure for bringing up the diagnostic codes on the DIC? The DIC should show your codes, with either an H (history) or C (current) behind the code. While viewing a given code, press and hold the reset button until it beeps. That should clear it.

Cheers

If you follow the above website procedures, you can just about do anything with the codes! It shows all historys, current codes and it will allow you to clear the codes! Well,,except for a current code beacuse everytime you clear it,,, it comes back. Thats why it is CURRENT!!!
