Went to the Dealer today to check on my baby. She was up on the lift, with the tranny being pulled, (leaked fluid=no third gear). The Mech told me that the reason I've be getting "Service Active Handling" was the misfiring messages that came without any real misfiring. It is saying all cylinders are "missing" 1-6 six times each instead of the many more times it would show up if it were really missing. It is rumored that there is a cam mod in there that may be giving these false messages.
I thought it was the wiring being to close to them big ol headers and exhaust in that tight space. I could see one link on the right side melted to the header.
I know why I'd smell that burning when I got on it.
Is there a way to modify the puter to ignore the cam info? I also get O2 Sensor lights that need to be tuned out.
Active handling affected by a slight missfire? If its true, thats a new one to me. I would "guess" that the burned wire you saw was somthing related to the abs or suspension shorting out occasionaly on the headders, causing the AH to go crazy.
