I agree. DRM is the best. They did my heads, cam, intake, injectors, timing chain, longtube headers, high-flow cats, X-pipe, GHLs, transmission cooler, Yank SS3200 with a full dyno tune. These guys really know what they're doing, and have fair pricing. Doug Rippie, who does the computer tuning himself, has a phenomenal understanding of the LS1 motor. My car runs like stock until I step on the loud pedal. I highly recommend them. Stop in and take a look. They always have a bunch of cool cars in there being modified. They're located in Buffalo, Minnesota, right next to "Colonel Chicken". Don't wait too long, though. He gets cars in from all over the country, and gets pretty busy. If you'd like to meet some day, and take a run over there, I'd be glad to take you in and introduce you. Monticello is 13 miles West of Rogers, right on 94...not far from you.

I talked w/ Randy Rippie last week - sounded like a great guy, and judging by their website, they know their stuff - my car's goin' there for a dyno tune yet this summer, not sure when yet, but the sooner the better.
Randy told me if I had it there by noon, I could drive it home that night, and he was gracious enough to invite me to stick around and watch the tuning process. Can't Wait!!
I have had good luck with HiTech Motorsport up in Ramsey. I have their small-cam setup in my Z06 with stock heads and intake. They installed longtubes and an offroad X-pipe as well as a smallish custom Comp cam (226* @ 0.050), along with a pulley and a Halltech, and I'm at 414/396 currently with heavy aftermarket wheels. My car drives like stock; the tune is exceptional. Brian (the owner/tuner) is a brainiac.
To be fair, I had Doug Rippie tune my old Camaro and it also ran well.
Thanks guys! We have been working with computer tunning since the begining. Doug has a ton of experience tunning with the LS's and LT motors. Give us a call and talk to Doug or myself about our services.
Thanks
Randy

Ed,
I'm glad she is running good

I heard from Tim that your car is fast
Another option is TPIS. I have heard many good things about Doug's place as well. One of the benefits there is he has a dyno in house to do the tuning with. The 3rd option is as KrisR said above-- HiTech. I have talked to Brian once about the tuning on my car and he helped me to understand some of the tables and their interaction with one another a bit more. I know that they do a lot of work for the Mustang crowd there as well.
Also, If you are looking for someone to do the engine work, call Leighton Reese at Leighton's garage. He has a lot of experience with our cars as he has 2 corvettes the he races professionally. One in world challenge and now one in trans am. However going this route you will still need to have someone take care of your computer tuning. He personally has Myron at TPIS do this for his cars.
Leighton set up a car for a friend of mine here with basically the same setup I have and was able to put down ~420 rwhp through an auto with a small converter. As well he has taken care of my car since LG did all of the original work in Dallas.

Having Rippie and team install my new trans and diff. next week along with a tune once broke in. Randy has been a huge help this winter with any questions I've had (thanks randy! ). I highly recommend them based on word of mouth and the experience I've had so far. Looking forward to meeting the bunch real soon!

I haven't YET had the privilege of having them do any work for me, but I'm making the appropriate arrangements to change that! I've been talking w/ Randy about a "mail order tune" and then a dyno tune later this summer - I can't wait!! Randy has been very helpful thus far, and they seem very accomodating. Can't wait for my car to be painted, summer to come, and dyno tune time. Oops, there I go, if I keep wishing summer away like that, it will be WINTER too soon , and I'll be putting the car away again. Gotta be careful.
