Didn't want to risk the Red Top after all the problems I've been hearing about lately.

I went with the red top Optima for these reasons.
1) the side terminals do not go through the side of the case they connect to the terminals on the top. (less chance of leakage)
2) 3 year full replacement warranty NO questions asked. Unless accident damaged or something stupid like that. Pro rated after the first three years.
3) I could get it from Auto Zone. The crew at ours is suprisingly knowledge and have helped me out several times.
