After extensive work was done to my 2000 M6 coupe including, but not limited to: cltuch, flywheel, heads, cam, LT header and xpipe system, UD pulley, bilstein sport shocks, hotchkis sways, and an elite tunnel plate, there is a very noticeable squeaking sound coming from the front end.
It is most prevalent when the car shakes (over a bump, releasing clutch in a certain way, etc). Also, it seems to happen after it has been started up first thing in the morning.
Originally we (my installers/tuners and myself) suspected that it was a suspension issue, possibly the swaybar endlinks. After greasing those up real good, it continues to squeak.
We think we have nailed down the problem though: the motor mounts. We are assuming because the suspension was stiffened up and the cam and heads were installed, the shaking of the engine causes the motor mounts to squeak. I am going to try and lube them up with WD40 and go from there.
Has anyone else experienced something similar and if so, how was it fixed/lessened?
Go directly to those 2 small springs that are horizontally and in back of the front center air dam - you know the one that deflects air to the radiator and swivels in the event you run over something. I don't know what was done to mine (I was busy at the time) but that was the problem. Those little springs started squeeking about the time I hit 45,000 and after I had a tranny cooler install. Give it a try.

Tried looking at those to springs...no luck on the noise going down
Did you cut off the rubber under the ride hight adjuster screwsm to lower they?? If so you will have to lube them. Second, the polyurethane bushings will have to be well lubed with polyurethane bushing lube or they will make all kinds of noise. Last the heim joints want make any noise. If they ever start making noise they will have to be replaced.
Could the center console be the culprit after the clutch install? I just got my clutch installed and I am getting a small and annoying squeak similar to what you are describing. We re trying to figure this out as well. Hope other people have some more ideas.
