Default Stock Engine limits

I have searched and can not find the exact answers im looking for so I figured I would ask you guyz .

What are the stock limits of the:
Pistons
Rods
Crank

I know that the Pistons are probably the weak link, when do they reach there limit? Also what kind of power are people putting down on stock block LS1s?

Crank is a non issue. Guys have gone 8's on the stocker.

I wouldn't take the stock motor over 550 rwhp unless you really know what you're doing (tune and fuel need to be perfect).

Number-one item to upgrade first: Rod bolts. Go with Katech.

What I've heard is that pistons and rings are the first thing to go, but you are pretty safe up to 600 HP with stock components.

I heard 550 RWHP. And that's alot of HP for a street car

I heard the number 7 piston goes first from not getting enough fuel.

But you dont hear tomany of them letting go. I hear more outshafts breaking than motors

On boosted engines #7 is the usual problem. At 5 lbs usually get more than 20,000 miles before any problems. More boost, sooner it lets loose.
