Default ls7 clutch install in progress...

The car is at Synergy Motorspors right now getting a new ls7 clutch setup (disc, pressure plate, flywheel, new master and new slave) replacing gear and tranny fluids with redline synthetic, and also intallling an elite engineering tunnel plate. I know a lot of people have been thinking of upgrading to this clutch, so after i get the car back i will post some comments on the performance.

Default install complete

so i picked up my car today from synergy. Looking at the old parts it was easy to see the master and the pilot bearing were severely worn, and both the flywheel and pressure plate were heat warped (blue tint all over the surface). Surprisingly the clutch itself wasn't too bad, probably still had a few thousand miles left in it. Even though I am driving it easy in order to break it in i can still tell a difference. First of all the clutch is engaging immediately, my old one was so worn it would only engage when the pedal was at the very top. The loud shutter which which was really bad at takeoff and quited down when cruising is now non-existent. Cant wait to break it in so I get some hard runs in and analyze the results. I'll leave more feedback as time unfolds.

I’ll be picking up my car with a new LS7 clutch tomorrow. I will also give a full report on the initial use and again after break-in. I feel like a kid with a new toy!!

Thanks,

Clayton from Las Vegas
