Default HELP ME!!! I have a problem with lg headers

Hi my name is Alessandro and i am from Italy.

I bought last week the complete off road system from lg motorsport and i began today to install it.

Near the end of the install i saw that there is a problem regarding the spark plgs cables and the headers!!!.

In the passenger side the first and second spark plug cable toch the headers.

I think that if i start my corvette i'll have problems because the cable will burn and maybe the header can arrive to the cable and maybe i'll have problems with my system and missfires.

I would like that you can suggest me a solution to this problem that maybe you havd also in the install of your headers.

Please give me an answer as soon as possible because i need the car because it's the only i have.

I hope that someone write to me the solution to my problem.
Thanks for all and have anice day

I have not heard of anyone else having problems with the plug wires and LG headers and that includes myself.
If everything is installed correctly, nothing should be touching the headers. You should be able to use the stock plug wires and not have any issues.

One of the boots on the wires on my drivers side rests ever so gently on the manifold. Once I get this thing running I will see how much damage it does.

The stock boots touched my FLP headers so I bought a set of Taylor 10.4 mm Thundervolt wires and a set of Taylor Fire Sleeves from Thunder Racing. The Taylor wires have a smaller plug boot that clears any header primary easily. I added the sleeves for extra insurance.

You may need to go aftermarket, but for now if it is available in Italy I have seen people use the metal lined tubing that is used for heated air intake to the intake, like on a carburated engine. This tubing typically runs between the exhaust manifold and the intake air cleaner. Not sure how to describe it, but it is corrugated and has metal in it. This might get you by until you find a better solution. I would also contact LG directly and explain your situation. He is pretty good about after sale support from what I have seen. Good luck

At least get some fire sleeves or some type of plug wire heat shielding. Headers add a LOT of heat to the engine bay and many people have trouble with plug wires after a header install anyway.

I got some Magnecore spark plugs with the offset for headers to fix the issue on my car.
