Default Here's one, actually two, for E-T

Since you're the Forum's resident C5 engineer. I know because you've told us numerous times.

I. Why was the C5 fog light panel blanked off and not used for airflow as in the Z06? Was it to improve the Drag Coefficent?

2. Why was the air fiter box made with such limited and circuitous air flow routing? Was there concern about water ingestion?

Just curious.

I don't want to speak out of turn, but from what I've read the intake was designed to meet NVH (Noise, Vibration, and Harshness) Standards. In other words, it made the ride just a little bit quieter for the non-Z06 crowd. I suppose they figured that the average Z06 buyer doesn't mind the extra noise, etc.
