Hey C6this, don't let them get to you. The correct thing would have been to joke and then follow-up with the answer. Alot of these same people denied that the Predator would do anything and now look. Alot of these same people denied that the C6Zo6 would have 500 horses and an aluminum frame. How many guys would have been giving you a hard time if you had asked them about indexing a plug? We were all at one time new to our car and we need to realize that what we thought was basic knowledge is not to someone learning about cars. Give the the Kid a break. He is in a corvette and not an import so he can't be too bad.
Thanks a lot Nocarbutavetteforme and Vizette you guys are the only two who answered my question and didnt redicule me for not knowing. Whenever someone says something on the forum I take it seriously because I thaught most people on here were honest people and straight shooters but I guess I was wrong......and to the others get a life.

Most people on here are honest people and straight shooters, but most of them also have a pretty good sense of humor, so you have to realize that people are just messing around with you and not making fun of you. And as I'm sure you've noticed by now, most people here can take it as well as dish it
OK, a serious answer.
Pulling a plug wire or wires won't sound the same as a big cam. It will sound like a car missing on one cylinder. A large cam will misfire on random cylinders, not the same one each time, so the sound will be different.
If you do this, be prepared to have all kinds of malfunctions show up your driver information display. The computer will detect that the engine isn't running the way it's supposed to.
Also, be prepared to lose about 15% of your power, since one cylinder out of 8 will not be producing any. You'll also get a strong smell from your catalytic converters (exhaust), and more fuel buildup in the oil.
If you're an electronics wizard, I'm sure you could come up with an add-on to cut ignition or fuel to random cylinders at idle. You might be able to market this.

Personally, I have no life, I spend most of my time here trying to help people who can digest what I have to say, but for some there is no hope. We have told you several times that there is a spell check here that helps you look less like the idiots we all seem to be at times...
we are all adults here, including you, and you just keep asking for it... I Thaught by now you would get it... I do feel bad about hurting your feelings until I realized that you thought (<------- Note the correct spelling )we were serious......and no one was rediculing you, if anything they were ridiculing you.

GM had this concept way back in 1981 with their sequential 4 6 8 cylinder firing order....Chrysler is using that concept now on their Hemi products.
What I do is take the ground strap and bend it so it is touching the electrode, essentially creating a gap of .000". Then I reinstall it. This way I can keep the plug wire attached.
I was thinking of creating a how-to with pics to illustrate the concept.

If you do that, the electricity will have no place to go, and each time that wire is suppose to fire, it will just hold in the juice till eventually the wire will get bigger and bigger, now based on the resistence of the wire, an explosion of power will be released from all the captured electricity that had no place to go...It could get very ugly
