Default Pull spark plug wire #3 what are the affects?

Hi I noticed in a thread how you could pull spark plug wire #3 to get that lopey sound. Well I have a stock motor but would like a more agressive idle as well. If I pulled that wire would I get the a similiar lopey sound? Will this affect performance in a negative or positive way? Is it safe? Will it harm my motor? Will it throw any codes? Why are the disadvatnages of doing so?

Thanks, Jason.

You dont have the right to own a Corvette for you who are a little dense The above was a joke.....too.
I suggest you leave your car stock and dont do anything to it but put gas in it....

You're the guy with the black car who wanted to know about painting Z06 brake ducts....

I thought painting the duct black serves to excite the incoming air as well as smooth the duct walls, thereby increasing velocity which enhances the cooling ability?

Don't take it personally. It's not directed at you. Some of us have wierd ideas in our heads that are just waiting for an excuse to come out.

Incidentally, I pulled all 8 plug wires, and now I never have to buy gas.

Sick c-5...........did you pull the wire from the coil pack or at the plug??? It does make a difference.... you are probably getting some minor plug arcing causing the loss of rear wheel power......next time please do a search... there are at least 5 million threads about this already.
Thanks

Well has anyone thought about adding another 8 plug wires that plug on top of the other plugs to increase the spark 100%?

Don't sweat it... now you know. =)

The plug wires deliver the electrical charge from the coils to the spark plugs. If you disconnect a plug wire, yeah it'll sound different, because you're only running on 7 out of 8 cylinders. Probably still enough to beat a Mustang though

Now that one was funny.. Hey, you know what, the vast majority of us here worked for many, many years to purchase a car like a C5, so yes, we are beyond pulling spark plug wires, or "fart can" exhaust, or neon lights under the car (well, most of us anyway! ). I have a younger brother that I'm always steering in the right direction, so I understand.

To answer your question, regardless of how much lope it creates, pulling a plug is a poor trade off, unless you were sitting in a parking lot idling, impressing your "import tuner" friends.

I appriciate the info vizette you are the ONLY one on this thread that has helped me. Maybe I should start a thread about evil twin how he curbed his rims I thaught that was hilarious but I didnt ridicule him about it so maybe now I should. Do you need some glasses or a walker? Ohh and 1bigdaddy why do you even have a c5, I see your ricer cars in your profile, once a ricer always a ricer . Vatorman you smell I am sure like the stuff you stepped in your back yard Sxe60 no one cares about the picture of you and your vette when you werent 100 years old and by the way those ebay headers are for tight wades Sick-c5 you ask about whats the best headers when that question gets asked 10 times a day you newb Azmuscle car your white hurst billet shift **** is ugly as sin and why dont you buy a skip shift eliminator your cheapo instead of trying to get one for free ahhahaha 63corvette this thread would crack you up huh because your still stuck back in 63 technology/humour wheeeeh that was a good one........now no one take it personally its only fun and games
