question regarding the ac/heater control unit.
i was reading the other day on here how to fix this thing, so i took it out and did exactly what you guys said, soldering the 8 resistors, i put it back in, and what do you know....IT WORKS, i can't believe it....i want to say thanks guys not only for the idea but for making me look like a genious to my wife...

but now a few of the buttons don't light up, and to be honest with you i think i did a crappy job trying to fix them, i was thinking to maybe go to auto wrecker and buy a different one, do you guys know of other GM makes/models that have used the same unit? i know if i say a corvette first thing they gonna say to me is no, and if they have it they probably charge me double, any info on this will really help me, i will be using this for now as it lights up nicely.

no, the light bulbs.
didn't you say that a few buttons don't light up now?
check to make sure the bulbs are not folded down onto the board, or make sure that they are sitting up.
