Default 90/90 Setup?

Hey guys I have a 2002 ZO6 with a Cartek Stage 3X heads/cam setup. I was just wondering how much of a power gain i should expect if I add a FAST 90mm intake and Nick Williams 90mm throttle body? If you guys could give me numbers for just an out of the box intake and for a ported intake I would greatly appreciate it.

Thanks.

A ported FAST 90/90 would probably give you about 25 hp, especially if Tony Mamo ports it

This is high on my list for next winter too

Depending on how much power you're already making you'll probably gain at least 20rwhp.

The stock Z06 setup start compromising HP in the 550 FWHP range. The polished TB will give you better tip in performance and a slightly better low to mid hp. If you are making upwards of 500 hp, the larger airflow can be programmed to give you the peak HP you are looking for.

It is a HELLUVA lot of money for only 20-25 HP. And that is if you can get that much of an increase. Many tuners say that there is a lot better things you can get for the $900+ it will cost you.

since Ride opens this thread stating that has a Cartek 3X h/c package, I would say that a 90/90 combo is an excellent choice. There are not a lot of cheap options for large horsepower increases once you have stepped up to an aggressive H/C install. Unless you are referring to a nitrous setup, I don't think there are many lesser cost options available.

Yes and no, once you get heads/cam what's left without further sacrificing drivability. The FAST, properly ported and setup, will give you the HP without any down side except $$$. In actuality, 900/25 = $36/HP which isn't bad at all when you consider headers at $1,800 for the same HP approximately.

Hi guys. Thanks for all the information. I think I'm just going to go ahead and save up enough $ to get Tony Mamo to port the intake and hope for some big numbers.
