I am going out to do the brakes, rear diff and transmission work this weekend and have a question on the rear diff fluid.
I just saw that there is a severe 75-140 oil. This is a daily driver in southern new mexico (today's temp 103). Summer is hot and winters are rather mild. I drive up and over a mountain everyday for work. Do any of you mechanics recommend this or stay with the amsoil 80-90? Thanks for all the input.
The AMSOIL Severe Gear Extreme Pressure Synthetic 75w90 meets owner's manual requirements and is what I use in my Z06 which sees exclusive track use and thus very high diff temps. For a Corvette, this is the diff fluid I recommend.
Thank you Subdriver. I assume you are or where active duty. Thank you for your service.
18 years and counting... I really do enjoy what I'm doing and I'm happy to still be doing it, but the recognition still helps on those long nights at sea. Thanks for the appreciation.
