I've done a few searches but wanted to check just one last time. Besides a tune, are there any other changes that need to be made for me to run Ford 30# injectors? Do I need to make any physical changes to the injector, fuel rail, or connectors to make them work? My searches seem to indicate that it's a direct plug-and-play but I did find at least one reference of needing to 'slot' the injector to fit it in the fuel rail.
Wow. I didn't run across that thread when I did my searches. It doesn't get much clearer than that. Thank you sir!
just as an aside; that particular fuel line release tool in your write-up is the only one I've found that works correctly. I tried two others that were too shallow to release the fuel line from the rail.
You do not have to take fuel line off at all. Suspend the fuel rail with the fuel line still installed to a string attached to rail and the left hood latch while replacing the injectors
