RANGER is running ~7.4's @ ~101 in the 1/8 in his stock 06Z. He is one of the best drivers out there. Headers are not gonna give him 7mph and 0.9 seconds.

Since you have deviated from a proven setup by changing pullies, make sure you practice a few launches before the actual race but not too many to mess up your clutch or anything. Double check your rear tire pressure etc at the track. I have faith you are going to smoke his azz big time.

My suggestion is, run him first with no bet, but keep it close. If you see you can beat him, run him again for $50.00. Let him win. Then hit him with 2 out of 3 for $200.00. Unless he's sandbagging you, it should be an easy $150.00. I'm sure with all the smack he's talking he'll try hard every race. Good luck, Put him in his place.

A low 10/ high 9 second supercharged C5 vs. a C6 Z06 with headers (low 11's at best)? This is not even a race! We are talking about a full second or more variance with these two cars. Chances are this pecker can't even drive his car to it's full capabillities. He doesn't have the wheel time with it. This is just his inflated ego defending the $75,000.00+ liabillity sitting in his garage. Logic is a term unknown to him at the present time.

Don't bet money, make him cut your grass for the entire summer! Get it in writing so it is a valid contract so he won't be able to back out. You will have the satisfaction of beating him and watching him do work on your property

These kind of BS'rs don't want to face the music and really run, they want to brag and swagger, but most of the time they always have "other committments" and can't get around to doing the put up or shut up bit...
You will likely have to call him out when he is blustering big time in front of a group of people and that is the only time you will embarass him into really doing it.... If that happens, then is the time to tell him to put up or shut up and put some money on the line, like $500... tell him if he thinks that he has such a hot ride then he should be willing to put his money where his mouth is.... Then beat him like a drum and send him home with his tail between his legs....

Well you were right he (C6Z guy) watched me run a few practice runs and now he will not race me..haha ran 6.23 @ 112 and 6.26 @ 111.6 1/8 mile passes... He was running high 7's haha then he broke somthin on the 3rd pass he made ( probbly since he was running MT slicks with a stock rear end). Think it was the rear diff..haha.. he wont even talk to me now..LOL.. I was smoking all the cobras and 5.0 mustangs out there today. They all were running slow. There was a twin turbo viper that was running high 5's...Sounded like a milk truck on nitrouse..lol.. Gonna post a vid when i get it from my friend when he gives it too me.. Stay tuned This was with 14lbs boost and 110 octane fuel.. Time to lower the boost so i dont end up hurting the motor... But got me in the 9's...

Still woulda been more satisifying to be in the sleeper mode and kick his butt and make him eat crow, but this outcome is almost as good.
