I'm hearing good things about the Stingers. Are there any Vendors who have them in stock? They seem to be lighter and provide just as much power as a Corsa Exhaust.
Just keep in mind that they have a "bit" of resonation and the corsas have none. I have borla stingers and my friends have corsas...honestly the corsas are a bit quieter and have less resonation.
Now that I have LG Street longtubes and X on ...the car is REAL loud.
IMO, the Borlas are the way to go. Yep, a bit of "popping" during deacceleration and a bit of drone, but I'll live with that considering the great sound they provide.

Yes but with an A4 that has 3.90's, heads/cam, Kooks 1 7/8" headers with no cats, will I lose my mind on the highway doing 70 MPH@2500 RPM?
Surprisingly the worst resonation and noise (at least for me) is around 1500rpm...and then again a bit around 3000....when its at 1800@80...its pretty quiet. I have 3.42's and I'm turning about 1500@70...I'd be surprised if you're at 2500@70.....
You'll probably find yourself picking a speed/rpm that's tolerable...since there WILL be certain points that have more resonation than others. I end up doing 75-80 uphill and 70-75 downhill to reduce resonation.
Like Irishmac says, the sound is awesome an well worth it....just don't expect it to be quiet and tame if you do longtubes....
When I say loud, I mean that it sounds like a nascar above 4000rpm...I really need to get some sound bites up here for you guys...I'll try to do some tomorrow.

I swapped my Indys for dual tip Stingers late last fall because I was bored. (Headers, converter, gears, stock internals.) I'm still trying to decide whether I like them better or not. It's definitely louder at lower engine speeds now. It doesn't bother me at all on the highway (much less difference there) but low speeds, particularly with the top up, is a fair bit boomier. The old geezers that ride to lunch with me like it. I'm not sure my neighbors are wild about them. They are substantially lighter than the Indys, which is the real reason they are still on the car.

Had them on my Vert, also. Great when cruising with the top down, but around town with the top up, it was hard to have a conversation or hear the radio. I went to Ti's and am having second thoughts since they're almost as quiet as stock.
We have 2 Corvette's with the Borla Stingers installed and love the sound and slight popping on deceleration. If you want your Vette to sound like a Vette the Borla Stingers is the way to go

Texan, The weight saving is nice but how is the resonance on the Borla's in comparison to the Corsa's? Would it be tolerable for me with my 3.90's? ALso what is the Borla XR1 Race System?

It's not intolerable, but you are asking me during the summer when the top is down. I had the top up in the rain the other day and was reminded that I really don't care for the boominess. Again, it's worst for me at lower vehicle speeds between 1500-2000 RPM. My converter has me living there a lot while driving around town... It's not as objectionable at highway speeds at those RPM because the throttle isn't typically open as much. My hunch is if you like running around without cats now this'll be no big deal. You might want to hang onto your Corsas until you make up your mind for sure though.
The XR1 is also a nice system. It uses a resonator placed in the area typically occupied by an x-pipe. The over-the-axle pipes go straight out the back and it looks like the dual tip Stinger from behind. The ones I've heard I liked, though it's not resonance free either.
I was told by my tuner that one muffler has a broken baffle. Also the drivers side muffler (same one with the broken baffle) keeps making contact with the exhaust shield and rattling, even after taking it in for adjustment, it's very annoying. I'm aware that Corsa has a lifetime warranty but I do not want any down time. I could always sell the Corsa system if I don't re-install it. Right now I'm leaning either towards the Borla system or the Z06 Titanium system.
Billdog350, how loud? does it sound nasty at idle?
I have long tubes and an xpipe with my two tip Stingers.
Idle is nice, meaning this: If you stand behind the car, you can feel the concussion waves of the exhaust. Its loud and has lots of presence. At idle, I set off car alarms in parking garages.
WOT is a whole 'nuther story. It sounds like a drag car....and I am not exagerating.
I have never been complimented so much on any aspect of any car, as I have been complimented on the Stinger exhaust sound.
But I must be honest and say they are not for the faint of heart. There is resonance. Lots of it between about 1400 and 1600 rpm. I cannot understate that fact. I say this because everyone one this board and elsewhere extolls the beauty of the Stingers. However, the truth of the matter is that no one is honest about the resonance in that rpm range. If the resonance is not an issue, then I guarantee you 100% satisfaction with your Stinger purchase. Your neighbors and significant other may not agree, but if you like driving something that sounds like a race car, you'll love them.
Its a great exhaust and very lightweight and the price can't be beat.
Thanks so much. Looks like I am going to pull the trigger. The first place doesn't have the dual tips in stock and I am awaiting an answer from New Era on whether or not they have it. The quad tips look good also but since I've had them on my car for over 5 years it's time for a change. I wonder if any supporting vendors have them in stock and available for immediate delivery?

Ah yes, now I remember your other post. A few years ago I had the same rattling issue with both of my cans, though not at the same time. In both cases Corsa shipped me a replacement and I returned the defective unit. No down time, just the trouble of swapping. Exhausts are easy enough to change if you find you don't like whichever choice you make.
I have the LG Pro Long tubes and HAD the Borla Stingers. The stingers have a fantastic sound, however the A4, headers, and 3.73 gear combined with the stingers required me to take ibuprofin due to the headache after a drive. Resonance is brutal with this combo. Finally swapped in a set of ZO6 titaniums and I could not be happier. No resonance, headaches, nothing but that sweet exhaust note when I lay into the go pedal.
