AC Compressor rebuild?
Anyone ever replaced the clutch bearing? I found a kit for it but I was just curious how hard it is. I had a loud squeal from my engine bay so I pulled the AC belt. It stopped. I had just replaced the tensioner and idler pulley in the AC system so it isnt either one of them. The harmonic balancer is fine. No wobble and the rubber looks new.
I reached down to turn the clutch pulley and it was kinda hard to turn. I figure the bearing is toast and I dont want to fork out the huge cash right now for a new clutch or compressor.
