Default wiper issues

I am pretty sure that this has something to do with my new cd player, but I had a new cd player istalled yesterday, And while driving around today I noticed that at random my wipers will come up about 2 to 4 inches and twitch there for a couple of seconds and then go back down at random... even when the new cd player is off. what the hell is going on here?

It might be your wiper control module. It is attached to the bottom of your wiper motor and controls all of the functions from your switch on the column. Mine just did the same thing and I fixed it myself. The control module is $105.00 from Chevrolet.(no discount) If you have the service manuals it walks you through the trouble shooting. If you are a DIY kind of guy I recomend getting these three manuals! GOOD LUCK

Your wiper motor and control unit sit in side a well on the drivers side of the windshiled cowl. The well has THREE udder drains that can clog and cause water to flood the wiper motor and control unit. Put your hand in the area between the fender and brake vacuum booster and feel for the rubber drain udders! My guess is that they are plugged solid with crap! If you have never cleaned them, chances are

Milk the junk out of the drains, let the motor and controller dry out and see if that takes care of the problem. i removed mine, blew it out, sprayed it with lots of WD-40, put it back in and that took care of that problem!
