Default p1221

Have a '97 a4 with triflow exhaust, aftermarket h pipe, no cats, and a blackwing intake as well as an slp maf. Recently getting the usual service traction, reduced engine power codes:

p1571
I have cleaned all of my body grounds, they were all spotless except for the posts. I also changed the tac unit. I have had all recalls done as well as rewired the column relay. Am about to go ahead and change the throttle control sensor attached to the throttle body.

Any help you guys can give would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

Just changed out the tps on the throttle body, and problem solved. No more "reduced engine power", and no more service traction system messages. The unit cost me $48 and took about 20 min. to swap out.

I AM , WHERE YOU WERE !!!!!!!!
I'M CHANGING OUT MY TPS THURSDAY !!!
WHAT A PAIN IN THE NECK !! TRYING TO FIX THE PROBLEM.
OOOPS !! HERE I AM THINKING THAT CHANGING OUT THE TPS WILL SOLVE MY PROBLEM ( I CHANGED THE TAC MODULE, WIRING HARNESS, CHECKED MY GROUNDS AND ALOT MORE - NOT SOLVING THE PROBLEM)
BUT, I GUESS THIS WILL PROBABLY FIX IT

It should, it worked for me and have had no problems since. Also cleaned out the throttle body while i was at it. The car runs and drives 100% better than i can recall. Best of luck.

Bill thanks for all your posts. The one on body grounds was what sparked me to originally clean them all. I am sure I speak for everyone here when i say that you truly are an incredible asset to all.

Thanks!
